CNN did a poll back in 2000 I believe that indicated about 20% of Americans thought they were in the top 1% of wage earners.

22. the polls seem to be swinging Obama's way. The lead McCain had in the
Rasmussen daily tracking poll is gone. Today they are tied.

The trend looks good.
