I got a letter in the mail today from the Repugs!!!!!! Arghhhh!!

I am a DEM!!

Have no idea why they wrote to ME, a registered Dem. I don't know if it will be returned to them, but at least I had the satisfaction of having blown them off!! :smoke:

1. I got one from McCain

asking for money of course.

I wrote on it --- Thank you for reminding me to donate. $100 just went to Obama. Please do not send any more junk mail.

2. I got one from the RNC the other day.

I have no idea how I got on their mailing list, since I have never voted for or donated a single nickel to any Republican in the 30-some years I've been voting. But I'm going to send *something* back in that postage-prepaid envelope.

3. Returned republican mail can put you on a caging list.

It is fun to throw their garbage back at them but they are using them to challenge your right to vote. Do not be surprised if you have difficulty voting in Nov.

How would they be able to go about challenging your right to vote if you send their garbage back to them? I'm not doubting it, I'm just curious as to the specifics of it.

7. The way I understand it.

They send a mailer to all registered democratic voters. If the mail is returned to them then the recipient goes on a list. When this person shows up to vote they are challenged as voting from an address they do not reside. They are then given a provisional ballot that is usually not even counted unless it is very close.

5. A better trick

is to send it back filled with other junk mail and send it back, letting them pick up the postage for your junk mail disposal.
