America is not getting the full-story on Palin

Pundit on CNN...

I'm paraphrasing... but it went like this...

Alaskans are frustrated because Palin urged everyone to cooperate and said she would fully cooperate with Trooper-Gate investigation... which was brought up initially BY REPUBLICANS. The committee is bipartisan, more republicans than democrats, and it was started by republicans.

She has now done a "flip-flop" saying she will not cooperate.

She is politically vicious and vindictive. She keeps a list. She is politically powerful in Alaska and intimates a lot of people.

McCain campaign lied about the rally-size in Alaska... they said it was like 2,000 people, it was only like 500 (including Wasilla band).

People in Alaska do NOT think she has the experience to be VP. Lots of demonstrations against her this weekend. She's politically inexperienced, but politically viscous. Alaskans are convinced she doesn't have the experience to be VP and were vocal at the town hall meeting Saturday night.

America is NOT getting the full story out of Alaska.

Other pundits calling it a "witch hunt" against Sarah Palin - but remember, this all started BEFORE she was anywhere near being on the ticket. There is no "witch hunt"... just a lying republican politician with something to hide and something to lose.

1. Maybe it's because she intimates a lot of people
that she gets away with it?

I never saw a candidate with such viscosity!

(I poke fun at typos largely because no one makes more of them than I do.)

4. A nice summary, and good points
Republicans are evil fuckers many times over, and their hypocrasy is without bound.

Usually they like nothing more than blaming the victim, until the Repubs themselves are up against the way. Then they switch gears and play the victim. Sickening, but consistently effective among a certain subset of unthinking voters.

6. Makes me wonder about the Palin approval rating polls in Alaska.
We know that Alaskan politics was and still is quite corrupt. Why couldn't the approval rating polls also be corrupt?

Alaska Statewide 'Opinion Counts' Survey Results

Survey conducted 7/24/08 - 7/25/08

Survey Methodology

This survey was fielded July 24 -25, 2008 as part of the Hays Research Group Statewide Opinion Counts Survey. 404 completed respondents were interviewed The margin of error for the data collected is +/- 4.86 % for a 404 response survey for the data analyzed in its entirety with a 95% confidence level; meaning that we can be 95% sure that if every resident of the State with working telephone numbers who have at least one member who has voted in at least two of the last four local or state elections was actually surveyed, the results would vary by no more than 4.86% in either direction.

The survey sample used was a computer generated random list derived from a database of all households within the State of Alaska with working telephone numbers who have at least one member who has voted in at least two of the last four local or state elections. The sample frame was designed to accurately reflect the actual population percentages.

Respondents were screened to confirm they were over 18 and each household was attempted at least four times over a period of several days to account for non-response bias. Data was analyzed utilizing SPSS Quancept Software. Interviews were conducted by trained staff with on-site supervision utilizing state of the art computer assisted telephone interviewing (CATI). Random interviews were monitored to assure quality control measures were followed. Dialing results were analyzed daily to assure statistically accurate distribution of call disposition in order to account for “non-response” variables.

Question 1

This question was paid for by Hays Research Group, and not conducted on behalf of any other individual or group.

It's like the "the people voted for to approve the aerial hunting" bullshit - the have overwhelmingly voted against it twice, then it the legislation was rewritten and stuck on the ballot, the language used so confusing that folks thought they were voting against it but ended up voting for it (per the folks that spoke up on Ed Schultz town hall meeting there today).
