This election season we need to do more than just stand up for our candidates, we also need to let our candidates know which issues are important to us. Throughout our nation's history we have seen numerous assaults on our Constitution, and things certainly have not gotten better over the past few years. We need to let our candidates know that we expect them to stand up for the Constitution, and we will hold them accountable if they do not.

Sign the pledge to say that you will be voting for the candidates who you feel will do the best job of defending our Constitution. Let all the candidates know that you want Guantanamo Bay closed, you won't accept wiretaps on innocent people, you won't accept torture, and you will demand that our leaders are held accountable when they break the law or violate the Constitution.

We are trying to get 300,000 people to pledge to be a Constitution Voter by October 15th, these pledges will then be presented to candidates at all levels of government across this nation. Whether they are running for city council or the Presidency, we want all candidates to know that we are paying attention to their views on the Constitution.

We have watched over these past several years as our government has walked down a very dangerous path. In places ranging from St. Paul to Guantanamo Bay we have seen our Constitutional rights being trampled on. If we don't do something about the attacks on our civil liberties those attacks will continue, and once our liberties are lost it can be very difficult to get them back. We need to stand up for our rights, and we need to stand up for them now.
