Why is Sarah Palin for killing wolves and what is the push back answer?
Edited on Sat Sep-13-08 07:44 PM by CTyankee
I really need to know. Is it because the wolves are "starving in the wild" or some such? Why her vehemence in seeking their forelegs? I don't get it.

If she really thinks the wolves need wildlife protection by thinning the heard, why hasn't she offered this as an excuse?

Something is more than a little off here...

5. Like a tourist attraction for big game hunters?
Now that's disgusting, if true. I want to get the details on that!

4. Wolves are competing with man as predator for caribou, etc.
To protect the "sport" of shooting and killing animals either for meat or "trophy", other animals must be shot and killed by morons in airplanes with serious firepower.

She seeks their forelegs as proof they were killed (for the reward) and because she's a sadist.

11. Palin reminds me of Caligula...
Arrogant, privileged, vain, authoritarian, classist, perverse, sadistic, god-complex, ruthless, feared, self-centered, corrupt, hated ... the list is endless.

6. She charges rape victims for testing kits. It balances out.
Going from memory: the bill for one kit in Wasilla was $1,500.

9. Did Wasilla make a profit on those?
Knowing what I know about Sarah, I can't help but wonder.

10. At $300 to $1,200 apiece there was quite a mark-up.
Seems she, as Mayor, passed along the cost to the in-surance companies.

From the AP:

Lawmakers became involved in 2000 when reports began coming in that police departments were charging sexual assault victims for the kits and the forensic exams, which cost from $300 to $1,200 at the time. The kit, a package of sample containers, swabs and other medical supplies, is used to collect evidence from women after they are attacked.

8. It's for completely selfish and greedy reasons, without an ounce of humanity or fairness.
She wants them dead so that the moose population will grow, which will in turn increase the revenue Alaska would get for guided *cough*murders*cough* hunts. This is the most UN-environment-friendly person in the fucking country.

15. I don't think MOST of Middle America gives two shits about the wolves.
They're afraid of them, they kill livestock, etc.

Nobody will give a damn.
