I've HAD IT!!!!
Just got into an increasingly nasty discussion with a moronic, Republican Kool-aid drinking, pea-brained, hypocritical, shit-for-brains relative. I'll say it -- if McAddled wins, I hope every fucking person who votes for McCain/Palin suffers before all of us with the brains to vote for Obama -- I hope their jobs get outsourced, they lose their houses, they go bankrupt and they end up on the welfare program they denounce at every given opportunity.

Fucking asshole -- how do they breathe with their heads buried so far up their asses?

Thanks for letting me rant!!

10. She started out with calling Obama a Marxist in an email she sent out.....
and when I called her on it, she got all pissy like I wasn't supposed to challenge her. And get this......asshole used to work for Fannie Mae, which was started by that Marxist Franklin Roosevelt as a New Deal program to help pull us out of the Depression.....you know, that era we got in large part thanks to Republicans like Herbert Hoover. She had no fucking problem taking her salary and bragging about her job! And now you and I will be paying her fucking pension -- more corporate welfare. Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!

She claims I didn't address her "ideas." I asked her what "Ideas" she might be talking about -- all I heard was her spouting the Kristol, Limbaugh, Rove, etc talking points and doubted she'd ever read Marx. Oooooooo, I'm an ivory tower bitch because I've actually read Marx and both candidates' platforms!! Shoot me now!

So yeah, I feel ya. Been there done that, almost every single day. :grr:

16. I know the pain.
Xbox Live has had an abundance of people talking politics lately.

During a particularly random McCain love fest by a couple random people in a quick game of Uno on Xbox Live, I changed my user icon to the free Obama/Biden one Microsoft made available for their Rock the Vote campaign. I figured if they were gonna talk politics, I'd wear my colors proudly and if they don't like it, tough.

23. Logic has no meaning
There is some powerful brainwashing going on in this Country. Are people really this stupid or are they being affected by brainwashing forces that we do not understand....remember the subliminal(subliminable) messages during the first Bush campaign in 2000? I think they have perfected their technique. Has anyone else noticed the strange sounds that begin and end every commercial break on Rush Limbaugh and other right wing radio shows? Perhaps it is in the water, or our cell phones? There is something going on here, people cannot be this stupid!!

30. Propaganda is 100+ year old artform, both corporate and gov't
It's very easily understood by a lot of people. Read a few books on the topic and it'll explain why the message the repukes get never changes, why "evil" others are demonized, why fear is sold to everyone, etc..., and stop listening to Lameballs or you will start hearing things, LOL.

36. I understand the power of propaganda
but I think they have gone far beyond their normal channels. There are new technologies available and I am sure they are not afraid to use them. As Bush says in a shocking moment of truth "They never stop thinking of new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we"

61. Here's my theory about contemporary propaganda
It's no coincidence that the biggest Bushbots are suburbanites. Never mind the megachurches, which only reinforce the Republican message. It's not only that many of them slept through half their high school classes, especially history, which they regarded as "boring." It's not only that the entire culture equates militarism and patriotism and acts as if waving the flag is all that is required for good citizenship. It's the radio. Your average suburbanite, especially in the Sun Belt, is stuck in traffic for a good part of each week.

If said suburbanites start listening to talk radio, they find validation for all their complaints. The trouble they have making ends meet is not because they are paid too little or because they insisted on building a trophy house and driving 50 miles each way to work in an SUV--it's because of taxes. The traffic jams are not due to their own driving--it's because those tree huggers are spending money on mass transit instead of on adding a tenth lane to the nearby highway. The WTC collapsed because Bill Clinton didn't catch Osama bin Laden, and because Saddam Hussein was behind 9-11. Welfare is the single largest item in the budget, and it all goes to black people and illegal immigrants. You know the spiel.

Then they get to work and meet up with their colleagues, who've been listening to the same garbage, and they stand at the water cooler and reinforce each other. Then they go home and watch Fox News, which claims to be the only "fair and balanced" news station. On the weekend, their megachurch tells them that opposition to abortion and taxes and hatred of gays are the marks of a good Christian.

There's a total information environment at work.

26. never discuss policy
a sure loser discuss character and sacrifice.
I use this line of attack
Obama has done everything you conservatives have asked him to do. He pulled himself up by his bootstraps, he went to the best colleges by meritocracy and loans. when he graduated from Harvard Law he became the head of the law review. He graduated Magna cum laude. He could have written his own ticket to millions of dollars. Any top law firm would have taken him and made him a "token" but instead he went back and gave back to society. These kind of people don't come along everyday.

Mccain on the other hand cheated on his wife and then dumped her. He has collected a government check his whole life he finished 889 out of 894 in his class. he only got to fly by connections. go look up the requirements to fly. he cheated in the keating 5 and the worst is when he was swiftboated by Rove in 2000 in South Carolina he didn't even defend his family. A man with no backbone. Look at the campaign he is running. It is against everything he said he would do.

he made some comment about how I must not have been thinking clearly when i put the sticker on my car and then said some shit like "how can you live with yourself for support a guy that hasn't made any accomplishments in his life"

normally i would have been nice but today I am sick and my allergies are kicking my ass so I laid into him and ended with me asking him to name one of McFuckStick's accomplishments other than the POW stuff... he had nothing so after a few times of me saying "come on name just one thing he has done" he finally gave up and said "well the raiders still suck" unfortunately i didn't have a comeback for that.

My fuse is getting really short with these fuckers!!

...Republican friends. They keep sending me these cute little pictures about Palin... how she is a hunter and Hockey Mom and how "Elitist" Obama is. These are people with VERY good jobs. Not stupid people by any stretch, but they are almost oblivious to current news events or anything that has happened over the last 8 years.(Things outside of their focused world) These are people who are still part of the "system",(who make a LOT of money) as oppopsed to people who are laid off, outsourced or downsized. I guess if you are rolling along and you can still drive your SUV, then the American Dream is still alive for you. It's so frustrating... I can't even talk to these people. Once I mentioned the Downing Street Memos and Abu Garib... and they said they had NEVER heard of this? They called me a "conspiracy nut". the disgusting thing is, I have been told, repeatedly, by someone who is supposed to be oh-so-spiritual and highly evolved that it is US who are responsible for bushco and mclame, etc. we are supposed to just ignore it all, and stop feeding it our anger and energy, and it will all just go away. I no longer speak to this person.
