Scrappy Reid Grabs Every Opening to Jab at McCain
By Kathleen Hunter, CQ Staff

The presidential election is less than two months away, and it’s clear that as far as Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is concerned, the gloves have come off.

Reid-D-Nev., a former boxer, has launched a bare-knuckles rhetorical attack on the GOP presidential nominee, Arizona Sen. John McCain , since his return to the Capitol from a five-week recess that included both parties’ presidential nominating conventions.

The majority leader has seized nearly every possible opportunity to jab at McCain. In floor speeches and comments to reporters, Reid has accused McCain, who is battling Sen. 4. Thank you Harry Reid, if anyone would know about "mostly inaction",
it would be you. “Through his actions and mostly inactions, Sen.McCain is proving that he would just be more of the same, more of the same Bush-Cheney policies."
