Using rethug logic, Bill Clinton kept us from having any attacks after the first WTC bombing

After the first WTC attack in '93, we weren't hit again until 2001. And that was WITHOUT all the massive civil liberties violations, without an illegal war, etc.

But don't expect the rethugs to ever acknowledge that.

9/11 was Clinton's fault, and our current economy? His fault too. Even after 8 years of bush, it's Clinton's fault, but it's b/c of the shrub's brilliant economic policy that it isn't worse.

As I recall, their solution was always "bomb'em", without being too particular about who the "'em" were as long as they were Muslim. Except for the specific advice to "bomb Saddam".

If these same dimwits had been in charge in the '90s, I'm inclined to think two other major terrorist plots would have been successful (Ramsi Youssef's plot to bomb a dozen or so airliners over the Pacific, and the Millenium bombing plot), and each time the response would have been to bomb Saddam some more rather than collect the sort of intelligence needed to infiltrate and stop them, because that's just lowly "law enforcement" work.
