Repugs say we haven't been attacked since 9/11
They're wrong.

We were attacked by the Patriot Act.
We were attacked by the Military Commissions Act.
We were attacked by the telecom immunity bill.
We were attacked by Executive Order 51.
We were attacked by numerous signing statements.
We were attacked by the Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act of 2007.

6. Don't forget the Washington DC Sniper
That was terrorism every bit as much as 9-11 it just didn't kill as many people.

2. We haven't been militarily attacked by busholini inc. since 9/11.
When they won that battle, then they destroyed the country's legal and economic structure.

Thank you, republic party, for not staging another murderous psyop since 9/11.

That is very magnanimous of you.

3. As usual Repukes are full of shit
If someone says, "Bush has kept us safe," I answer, "Oh yeah, except for that one time, right?" 9-11?

In their clever way, they have managed to immunize this stooge from any blame for 9-11 even tho it happened on his watch.

4. there's 4000 + soldiers dead
We are told they died in the war on terror, except when 9/11 rolls around then Rethugs forget about them. Every day there is an American under attack due to this administrations decision to create military conflict when it did not have to. Soldiers are Americans too!

5. The 9/11 attack occurred under bush, because he failed to listen to the warnings
Of course all your points are also true

They are also conviently leaving out the international terrorist impact of it

8. Repugs, as we all know, are "cause and effect" challenged.
"Becuwz of dadie preznit, therv bin no attax sinse 9levn!"

CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP

Why are you clappin'?

Why, to keep the TIGERS from coming in my front yard!!!

But there aren't any tigers. For miles.

Damn, this clapping thing is working better than I thought!!

Whoooooooooosh . . . .

That's the sound of my point flying through a Repuke's eustachian tunnel unscathed.

the Trade Towers were still standing.

10. Right wing lunatics have attacked and killed people in a church (TN) and
at a Democratic Party office (AR); an unhinged university student who had no business buying firearms commited large-scale mass murder (VA); another student; Amish schoolgirls were mowed down by a psychopath (PA); a "normal" student killed several students in a University lecture hall (IL); a kid with serious problems killed several people in a shopping mall (NE), etc, etc, etc.

Mass shootings are terrorism, too. During the current administration (anti gun-control), there have been 21 documented school shootings, yet during the previous administration (favoring some gun control) there were 12 documented school shootings. And--- these figures only cite school shootings, not mentioning all the other shoot-em-ups.

16. Yeah, my response goes something like that:
"You mean 9/11 wasn't bad enough?"

I also sometimes say:
"That's because they don't NEED another attack. Our response to 9/11 played right into their hands. It bogged us down in war and severely reduced our liberties."

12. Whenever any RW asshole says that to you, respond with:
That's because Bush gave in to Bin Ladin's demands. Bush surrendered, and gave the terrorists what they wanted in the first place: American troops out of Saudi Arabia. Bush is Bin Ladin's best friend on this issue.

14. Yeah, except for that FUCKING BIG MISTAKE
Except that now, somehow, the fact that they made that FUCKING BIG MISTAKE is a reason to vote for them.

Oh, and the antrax attacks. The DC sniper. The California wildfires. The ELF arsons. That anti-abortion guy that drove a carload of explosives into an abortion clinic in Iowa.

Edited on Thu Sep-11-08 11:41 AM by tjwash
67 years -vs- 7 years (if you don't count the anthrax incident they like to ignore), is a pretty piss poor track record...
