What is going on that the main cable channels would break into their own programming to bring Breaking News that Palin has landed in AK and she is giving speech. It's as if she is the President and has just arrived in DC...OMG!!! What is the MSM pulling here....like I didn't know. (hope I posted this okay first one).

One, they're bored.

Two, she is news right now, the first return home to Alaska after her 'rousing' convention speech.

Three, maybe they are waiting for her to give the same speech she has been for two weeks, thus solidifying her lameness.

The McCain campaign has the MSM on the ropes, because she hasn't spoken to anyone. Don't worry- it will wear off. I believe she is a shooting star that will flair out at an opportune time.

You are right. Why is her arriving home even news? They didn't treat Hillary Clinton this way. And, I am sure Biden tries to get home every chance he gets too. We are part of the problem here. She is news because we are helping to make her news. She is not the President, she isn't even the presidential candidate (although I think the kooky RW are trying to promote her this way and if I were McCain I would be a little concerned about that). She isn't worldly, has a degree in Journalism and political science and has had a two year job as governor running one of the smallest states in America. She is narrow minded, a liar, and a Republican of the George Bush mold. I know it is difficult, but as long as we make her news she will continue to be news and this takes us off our game and plays right into the Rove game. We need to be talking about the McCain ticket being more of the same Bush politics and more of the same misery for America. We need to be saying that when they have nothing good or positive to run on they resort to character assignation, distortions and lies. We need to be making a clear distinction between McCain and Obama. The one thing this country does not need is four or eight more years of Republican leadership. Our country and its people can not tolerate any more. The McCain Palin ticket represents old politics, no change and much more of the same.

Just that the breaking news and the way they did it made me angry as to why she is getting this special treatment. But your reasoning is so true.

I believe too that they are trying to get the public used to her. Maybe because they know there is a possibility that McCain won't be President for long, if elected, so they are really promoting her. Very obvious tonight even to a couple of pundits that that is what they are doing.

They are trying to make her a sympathetic victim of hatred and lies to woman and an appealing sexy woman to men. Tough, but submissive to her husband in matters of the bedroom.
