Need a Pep Talk
If you watch sports (particularly...basketball) you know that every game has an ebb and flow to it. Momentum swings. One team is "on a run," then it's the other team's turn. This week I feel helpless as the media goes ga-ga after an admittedly pretty hot chick (until you hear her stump speech). But why the fuck is nobody calling her out on her record? Hello McCain is going to be dead this time next year. Why the fuck is Sarah Palin not undergoing the most vicious vetting cycle ever? And I don't want to hear about MSM conspiracies and such. Seriously. WTF.

Pep talk needed. "This will all blow over" or "There's already a backlash" or...SOMETHING. Thanks. I'm leaning on DU right now.

BTW...whatever happened with that "GIDDY Little Dance" thing earlier? I'm not trying to lock my thread, but I find it disturbing that this hope I had disappeared w/ no reference to it. Was I imagining the whole thing?

-JD

3. Shee-it
I'm looking for an actual pep talk. Not an appeal for treason.

4. There's these things

The WSJ/NBC poll (the most respected one in the business) shows that the McCain bounce is over.

Obama's up by 1.

Also.... we've won three straight news cycles.... after losing 11 straight. To use a basketball term, we're on a run.

Cheer up.

5. Well lets see
Palin is being called on her bs

Obama calls them on their campaign.

Maybe tomorrow the press might even cover the nearly 90,000 lost jobs in the last month alone...

7. The media is going to cover 6.1% unemployment?
GOOD LUCK! (Although that would be rad)

Then watch this.

(I swear on my honor it's not a rick roll.)

And stay out of those 'gloomy, the world is ending' threads for a while!

9. The more important news cycles come later.
And those news cycles include the debates and their aftermath.

You put Obama on the same stage as McCain and Biden on the same stage as Palin, and I'm likin' our odds.

How's that?

10. And don't stop beating the drum that we SHOULD
put them all on that stage, rather than put up with the monkey business that comes out of desperate Republican slime tactics.

You might consider joining with me to tell ABC, NBC, CBS, PBS to report on the serial lies of Pallin and start reporting the news.

Come on... that's better...
