1. Twice as many Republicans as Democrats.
Charlie Rangel is having a Congressional committee investigate himself for corruption?

2. Dishonorable mention for Norm Coleman. Good, that should
help Al Franken. And Marsha Blackburn too - I'd love to see her go down.

Unfortunately the person running against him is a Rahm lapdog/ex-repuke who isn't a whole lot better than him (Christine Jennings). :(

12. His ads are driving me nuts.
I just moved to the Ellenton area, from Pinellas. He must have crazy loot to be running the ads at the pace he is.

Although I do have to credit him for breaking with his party on some occasion (i.e. minimum wage, etc.). Are you in that small strip of Manatee that Kathy Castor represents? If so lucky.....

13. Sad about Charlie....but, the more I see of him in "mafia type suits" swaggering around
I've wondered if the years of Repug Rule didn't even manage to corrupt his soul. I've always thought of him as a "good guy fighter...a good old soul" but what the Repugs do with their Corruption and Graft and how much money they make doing it...must and probably would be tempting for the most altruistic of us here on DU. At some point when you are almost 80 years old, like Charlie...you look for payoff.

Although his "back taxes thing is so miniscule compared to Repug Corruption" I wonder why CREW bothered...but then..it's what they do.

Mary Landrieu who votes with the "Gang of 14/Lieberman" is no surpise. She and her family probably got more from her position than Rangel got in his life...and Murtha was one of the first to "break ranks" to criticize the Iraq Invasion/Occupation...but apparently through the years he's been a porker.

One always hopes that those who "game the system" might be on your side when all is said and done. And, who do we all know who is "TOTALLY PURE?" I don't know, anymore.
