Initial success for 'Big Bang' project

CERN, the European Organisation for Nuclear Research, is an association of 20 European countries, not including Ireland, and has been at the forefront of particle physics research since its formal establishment in the mid-1950s.

It was also the cradle for the development of the World Wide Web in the early 1990s, when it was invented by CERN scientist Tim Berners-Lee.

There was no mention in the article of the world having actually ended. Can we trust those reporters to tell us if we're dead? ^^^^^^/yes, that was snark
