5. Not at the coast. But it is expected to hit us as a strong tropical storm...

We're expecting 50-60mph winds and 4+" of rain.

Looks like it's going to make landfall in Corpus Christi. Get ready down there!

4. I have an old, old acquaintance that moved from Salt Lake to
San Antonio. He was telling me how mild the weather is there. Right after that they had an ice storm.

Now this. I think I will just stay here in the midwest, thank you very much.

6. I'll vouch for the ice storm
But that was very rare. The last big snowfall in San Antonio was in 1985.

We are not, however, in Tornado Alley, like most of North Texas.

We do get tropical storms through here every two or three years, but generally no hurricane force winds. This one looks bad.
