1. My personal opinion ...
Smith is going to cream Merkley ....

Smith's ads are very slick, promoting his 'bipartisanship' by using video clips from Democrats with whom he may have helped push some piece of legislation some time in the past .... The ads are blanketing Oregon, and have been since before the Primaries .....

Merkley, on the other hand, has had few ads, and, frankly, I personally find them underwhelming and unconvincing ...... Im a committed Democrat, so I do not need to be persuaded to vote for Merkley, but I dont see an effective Merkley campaign that is going to wrest voters from the incumbent Smith, even in this anti-incumbent environment ....

My own opinion, but I kind of miss Novick ....

He's by far the better man... but Smith has flooded the TV with EXTREMELY misleading ads.
