(Definition of terms: Puckhead McPalin is a new creature created by the media. It is the molecular recombination of the beings formerly known as John McCain and Sarah Palin. They are, of course, now just one being.)

Each day holds new revelations about lies regarding the goings on in Alaska.

Anything that goes up that fast (from zero percent name ID ten days ago to 90% today) comes down pretty damned fast, too.

The stump speech is so mind numbingly rote, the stenographic drill team following the campaign is taking bets on when they resort to tape recorders, loudspeakers, and cardboard cutouts of Puckhead McPalin.

It is, amazingly, running against itself. They hold up their own records and then say how awful they were. It is a truly magnificent strawman. Anyone have a match?

The race, as it seems to be shaping up, is not McCain vs Obama, it is Puckhead McPalin vs America's diminishing antimoron population.

Who will win this epic stuggle?

1. It is a toss-up

My optimistic side says she'll expose herself to be much ado about nothing.

My pessimistic (realistic?) side says she will wow the heartland and sweep McCain into office. When she becomes President, the country will shit its pants.

She hasn't won many hearts or minds that I've seen but I do have one co-worker who thinks she is just what the country needs.
