Imagine Palin under these circumstances...

(swearing in of Lyndon B. Johnson as President aboard Air Force One, November 22nd, 1963)

and then imagine the country conceding to her being treated with such "deference", in that scenario.

McCain is really reaching with this holding back of the press and it's simply proving his pick's incompetence, with every tick of the clock.

Shameless steal from DUer countryjake. The post deserved a thread of it's own.

1. Huh, no one?
I thought it was pretty good.

5. Problem is, it's singing to the choir, here.
I'd bet that every single DUer has imagined that very instance, and while putting it out there visually helps us to firm up resolve, it doesn't take deep thinking to realize what could be.

Run it off, pass it around to fence-sitters, and just see the conversations you'll get. The looming question hanging over this woman is how, exactly, she may lead our nation, if required, and cowering from reporters does not speak well for "leadership material".

2. I hoped you'd follow through on this today
as you said you would in the other thread.

Thanks. That picture is worth way more than a thousand words.

:hi:

3. Thanks,
like I said in the other thread, I think it's simple, powerful, and effective. It effortlessly evokes the tragedy and trauma and utter seriousness of that day (I can only imagine what it must have been for those who lived through it, it was before my time), and then contrasts that with training wheels Palin. It could easily be an ad.

4. I was pretty young at the time - just turned 6.
Even at 6 I was aware of a great crisis and sadness.

I'd like to see that picture, or something similar, juxtaposed with her handlers' words that she be treated with "deference" and highlighting how she's hiding from the press and the public.

6. In fact, let's see how it might look...

A pro could clean it up, but it's got potential.
