looks to me like the strategy is to get people registered big time

1. You know, I was just thinking.
Roughly half the people support McCain/Palin. Not gonna change their minds. Roughly half the people support Obama/Biden - and we're sure not changing our minds! All we can do, is make sure more of US turn out than they do.

Getting them registered is fairly easy. Getting them to vote always seems to be a bit more tricky.

We just have to sustain the momentum through the election. But that's always been the problem with newly registered voters. They tend to lose interest after a short time. The biggest exception was Clinton's second term. New voters on both sides showed up in large numbers.

9. New registrants tend to vote in the first election. Get out there
and register people to vote. A good place is a place where there are a lot of bus riders, like transfer stations. Go during morning rush and evening rush.
