Republicans are liars. You can't trust anything a republican tells you.
Latest example...

Regarding the Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac fiasco, John Kyle (R-Liar) looked into the camera with Wolfie just now, and said TWICE that republicans FAVOR increased financial regulation, but Democrats oppose it.

These people are sociopaths. Normal people can't lie so easily, so casually, so often -- particularly when they know the truth is easy to find.

A sociopath can. Like Charles Manson, he can look you right in the eye and lie to you. Even when he knows you can tell he's lying. He lies anyway, and gets a thrill out of watching you look for ways to reconcile his "reality" to the genuine reality.

The only sane response: Call a lie a lie, call a liar a liar.

1. If you had said "Republican politicians" I would agree with you

Not all Republicans are liars, or even bad people.

We can't win this election without support from some of them.

3. Decent people, people of conscience, can no longer remain Republicans, IMO.

Sadly, they're being forced to choose -- right here, right now.

The party they once knew is GONE, replaced by something malignant and dangerous to every cherished American value.

To continue to support and identify with it is morally wrong, IMO.

4. You and I are going to have to agree to disagree on that
The party they once knew is GONE, replaced by something malignant and dangerous to every cherished American value.

I could make a statement almost that harsh about the Democratic Party I joined in 1976, but I'm not about to give up on it.

7. Huh?
How do we need a single one of them? And we won't get a single one of them.

8. You need to study up on the electoral college and the distribution of voters in swing states

...And we won't get a single one of them.

That's bullshit.

Another clue for you: Not all Democrats are going to vote for Obama.

:hi:

They're by no means all far right wing.

18. My Latino gay cigarette-dealer friend would probably shock you
As would his accountant buddy.

They're what I would call economic Republicans, basically libertarians who prefer to be part of a major party.

21. My fundy-type evangelical Republican co-worker is voting for Obama.
He supported Huckabee in the primaries, but when McCain got the nomination he started supporting Obama and is trying to get people at the Baptist church he goes to to support Obama. He has a nice "Evangelicals for Obama" bumper sticker on his mini-van. He told me he got fed up with the (his words) "immoral hypocrisy" of the GOP and calls them "Mammon worshipers."

5. anytime one of them opens their mouth, it's another lie!!!
I'm a member of an email list and yesterday someone asked, what else are they lying about? But the more appropriate question is what are they NOT lying about?

6. Too true. It's almost impossible to keep up...

... with the sheer volume of lies they tell.

And that's no accident. That's deliberate, coldly-calculated strategy: OVERWHELM the public with lies.

Tell so damned many lies that no one can possibly catalog them all, let alone refute them all.

Until we all just throw our hands in the air in exasperation.

Until we're all just overwhelmed, exhausted and numb. And give up critical analysis at all.

Like the media has done, by and large. Like so many voters have done.

Then, Democracy just withers and dies on the vine, exactly as we've seen over the past 8 years.

We can't fight the sheer volume of lies. But we can brand the Republican party with the reputation it's worked so hard to earn: The Party of Lies.

12. well, it's not only the lies.........
...but sometimes you get the feeling that they don't even have a basic idea of what freedom is!

For instance, on one of my email lists someone sent a message about the 'freedom cage'. It was a temporary jail where they would keep the protestors that were arrested. And I thought.....freedom cage, isn't that an oxy moron? How can people have freedom in a cage?

And now that we know Palin's history with banning books at the library.

That's what I mean, they like to say pretty words like freedom and democracy but when it comes to actually practicing those ideals, they just don't have a clue!

11. The BIGGEST Lie...Is How Obama Will Raise Taxes
This bullshit has to be knocked down and hard and called for what it is...a LIE.

The corporate media is long sucked into the meme of Democrats as being "tax and spend" and let GOOP shillers get away with their lies as its gospel. I saw Wolfie let that bullshit slide with Kay Worthless-Hutchinson this morning. Barbara Boxer wasn't even given a chance to shoot it down and looked totally disgusted with the lies being spewed. It's win at all costs...and we can't let this shit be "assumed"

Fact is Obama will lower taxes for everyone earning under $200Gs a year...and letting the tax rates for those who earn more to return to where they were in 2001 (percentage wise)...and eliminating taxes for seniors...many on fixed incomes, pensions or other savings program (on money that had already been taxed). Democrats need to hammer on this...and hammer.

Yes, lies need to be called out...off come the gloves and shake some sense and accountability in the corporate media that is too lazy to do the fact checking...or at least admit they represent the wealthy...the corporations.

Cheers...
