My kids got allowances on the condition that they do well in school, kept their room and themselves clean, mowed the lawn, vacuum, etc. Guess what happened when they didn't uphold their end of the bargain?

Are there enough prisons to hold us all if we stopped the money train?

It would take a lot of guts, but enough people doing it, and you are right, they cannot enforce all the laws. They are dependent on our good will to obey them; especially when it comes to regulatory things.

Employers would have to be in on it, too; they do the withholding and are liable for the taxes if they don't do it. The whole "refund" thing is so clever - it makes people think the government is giving them money, when all it did is force no-interest savings. It makes it impossible to withhold taxes. Maybe people could claim a lot of dependents so the withholding didn't take place.

It would make a great massive, peaceful protest.
