Sarah Palin gets dished by Wasilla caterer Sue Williams (who will not be voting for Obama)
... on the campaign trail for governor, when asked who would raise her children should she win, she promptly stated that Todd would quit his job and stay at home with the kids ...

Sarah was elected and then - whoops. Todd didn’t like the stay at home gig - so Sarah, citing they needed money for the kid’s college .. said Todd was returning to work. When asked about her statements on the campaign trail about how Todd would quit his job, Sarah said she’d actually never talked to him about what they would do if she was elected .. and that she’d spoken out of turn when she spoke for him stating he’d quit his job ...

So Todd trots himself back to work and Sarah is busy traipsing around the state and the nation. The kids are “farmed out” (this is the word used by thier associates in “the Valley”) to family and friends to raise while Todd and Sarah are off having their respective careers (Sarah is famously quoted as saying, “My mom does whatever I need her to”) ...

No thank you. I would like a VP candidate who puts the lives of the people she’s supposed to be caring for first, above her own ...

1. This woman does NOT have control over her own family, and neither does the husband.

They are irresponsible parents with the kids who already EXISTED, and then took chances with Trig's life in TX. These people are awful, just white trash. And now they're putting their teen daughter up for exploitation by the Republican party.

shipped into the gates of hell.

But career and ambition come first! (And, yes, I'd say the same thing if Sarah were a man.)

I'm just glad I'm not her kid.

And, despite what Sarah said, Bristol was given NO CHOICE but to get married and have that baby.

Mr. "Fuckin' Redneck". But mom's political ambitions seem to be trumping her daughter's best interests.

Nice, Sarah.

27. Bristol needs to be hidden away because she is pregnant
given how Sarah pulled her from high school.

Not very good family values.

7. just because she 'believes' in home schooling doesn't mean she 'does' home schooling
I mean her daughter missed (depending on who you listen to) 5-8 months of school at Wasilla high school......

3. What DOES Sarah's husband do for a living???
I've heard professional fisherman, works for oil company BP, and/or that he belongs to the Steelworker's Union. What's the story?

Also - if Sarah had no intention of aborting her baby no matter what, why was genetic testing done?

I'm just askin'....

multiple irons in the fire, but do NONE of it well. And yeah, I've heard about four different professions now for the Toddster too, plus the fact that he is overtly involved in the Governor's office. Very, very strange--we do not know the truth about this family and where their money comes from.

23. I'm not saying they're wealthy. I'm just wondering why they seem
to own and run multiple businesses, have multiple careers between them. She was running some kind of business called "Rouge Cou" (French for redneck) a couple years ago. No one seems to know what the husband does, or where he officially lives, and the kids are scattered all over.

or something because they haven't registered it. He was a fisherman. Apparently he was a steel worker at one time. Sounds like he is a journeyman.

24. Genetic Testing is routinely done on older moms - I've been
having conversations re this with my two daughters (who are both nurses) and one said at approx. 16 wks gestation, the doctor orders an AFP (Alpha Fetal Protein) test which will indicate various genetic disorders (and Downs Symdrome). So, Sarah knew for some time that her baby had this birth defect. My daughters (who each have 3 children and work their work schedules around their kids (and NO I don't babysit) posited the theory that maybe Sarah Palin wanted something to happen to the latest baby and that's why she took 26+ hours to get the the hospital. The possibilities were there for lots of things to go wrong given her age and distance from where she chose to deliver. I know, it's crazy but it's just a theory!

I mean, I know it's never too early, but worrying about that now seems.... premature.

She "farmed out" her kids -- this means she has expertise in agriculture. Her resume is growing by the day.

Edited on Wed Sep-03-08 03:43 PM by hvn_nbr_2
After his wife and daughter were killed, he was sworn in to the Senate at his sons' hospital bedside. For 36 years he has taken Amtrak home at night to be with his kids. Family values vs. "(cough cough ahem) family values."

Edit to add: None of his kids had teenage pregnancies either.
