We'd probably have an awesome conversation about everything from politics to sports to philosophy, shoot some pool, toss a few back, it would be fun.

If I had a beer with George W. Bush, he'd show me that he was dumber than a sack of hammers, then he'd get sloppy drunk, hit on the waitresses, puke all over the floor, get thrown out by the bouncers, then I'd have to drag him home, or just let him sleep it off in the gutter.

If I had a beer with John McCain, he'd get pissed off the first time some random guy looked at him funny, start a big brawl in the bar, then all of us would be spending the night in jail.

If I had a beer with Sarah Palin, first she'd drive me batshit trying to convert me to snake-handling Pentacostal Christianity, then she'd change into an extra short miniskirt, start flirting with every guy in the bar, then have one too many, pass out, then I'd have to find a way of getting her home without looking like I took advantage of her.

...you can educate yourself about all the issues all you want, research the words and deeds of all the major candidates, really commit to being a responsible citizen who will make an informed choice in the election...and some guy who doesn't know anything except that McCain reminds him of the old crank he kvetches with at his local bar and that he wouldn't mind bagging Palin will have his vote count just as much as yours. Hopefully. Otherwise, I'm afraid it will count for more with the way these machines seem to have been rigged the last few times.
