Pat Buchanan on Morning Joe (between 6 and 7) The Culture War is on
In light of the press attacks on Palin's family issues Buchanan announced that the conservative culture was under attack and as of 10 p.m. tonight war will be declared through Palin's speech.

Seems that Pat has a pretty short grasp of history when in comes to 1992. The last time a culture war was declared in a convention speech it freaked the hell out of everyone who wasn't a rabid right wing nut job and it blew up in their face.

With Palin being a one-stop shopping center for the extremist view of things I can only say "C'mon Palin. Give us the best you got".

2. So what exactly is this a war on?
It's not the season for the War on Christmas or the War on Easter. Is it the War on Alaskans?

4. War on drugs...war on terror...war on culture...
Those guys are big on declaring war on abstract things with no clear objectives.

6. Yes, and apparently Abortion is the most pressing issue facing our country.
At least that is what I got out of the convention last night.

The press is not attacking Palin's family. The spinner would like everyone to think so, but they are full of it.

I wish I knew how to make the eye rolling smilie.

10. If the guiding principle of "conservative culture" is hypocrisy...
...then I guess he would feel beleaguered about now. How dare anyone question the "conservative's" right to set standards for everyone else while simultaneously not meeting them him or herself (not to mention the conservative's right to cover up his or her inability to meet them)???
