Does anybody else find the audience reactions at this

convention odd in that everybody seems to shut up at the same time? Is it canned applause and cheering that we are hearing?

1. No, it's sort of "live,"

but the people there are so old and so weak, they run out of energy while they're clapping. Their hands just wear out and fall down.

Later, they fall down, too.

3. Actually what you are noticing is Applause Leaders. These are people paid to clap and cheer......

....on command. They usually sit in the front row and at the back sides so they can lead standing ovations also.

These are the people who also yell USA USA USA when ever there is a heckler or protester.
