Just stopped a Republican woman cold in her tracks and shut her right up re: Palin
Edited on Tue Sep-02-08 08:40 PM by KzooDem
Had to ride my bike down to the grocery store to get some half & half for my coffee in the morning. In line to check out I was behind these two 40ish looking women, who are obviously Republican from their conversation.

They were talking about Palin and I was just biting my tongue. Then one of them says "What's great about her is that she's just a regular person, just like you or me." It was then that I decided I couldn't keep my big yap shut.

"So, are you saying that as a "regular person" (I made quote marks with my fingers)just like Sarah Palin that you are prepared to govern the country should something happen to the president? Are you prepared to lead this country? Nah, didn't think so. Guess what? Neither is Palin!"

They both just nervously and with great embarassment looked away and ignored me. The cashier had a smirk on his face.

2. Good for you! It's that "regular person" bullshit that got us GEORGE!
Feel free to remind people of that... the last time they thought it was soooo great to choose a "regular guy" our country fell into total disaster. Palin may be a "regular person", but then again I don't know a lot of people that vindictive, that hypocritical, that ruthless, or that religious extreme. But hey.. I'm sure SOMEONE knows someone like that -- and they hate them.

Yeah, half & half is it for me. Can't do milk in the coffee...has to be half & half. At least I got reduced fat half & half, which is STILL better than 2%.

Had a lot of fun at parties asking nutjobs...

So, you want an alcoholic to come over to your house and drink beer ?

Then you want to make him the leader of the country?

You know what.. you are a genius!!
