Background checks and then arrest for NOLA evacuees in OKC!

I am fucking amazed at this. They evacuate these people out of NOLA and take them to Oklahoma City, where they have to present ID and then they do background checks on them (before they can enter the shelter!) and find any tickets or warrants outstanding and put them in the OKC jail! This is such utter bullshit!

How are these people, running for their lives, supposed to be able to pay their bond for these warrants? How are they supposed to get family members, who are scattered all over the US, to put up their bond?

I am absolutely amazed! You know what's gonna happen the NEXT time there's an evacuation? Yep. These people are going to refuse to evacuate and they're going to drown. And that's just what the powers that be want to happen.

Can someone find the people responsible for this in OKC and post some phone numbers? We need to raise holy hell.

Know This! As A Floridian if we get a Cat 2 or 3 we will stay. Can You imagine not being able to go back South on I 95 to your home because of "No Power"? We have stayed for over 2 weeks with no power in South Florida. Regarding Andrew it was a well over a MONTH!
