Silly Season
It has gotten very silly here. Those who are worried about the qualifications of either candidate or their VP nominees, got news for you, they suck. None of them have broached the real problems facing this country. Not one of them has spoken of the potential bankruptcy of our currency. You don't hear of the need to reduce spending across the the board with painful reductions required in accepted social programs. The Neocon promote their vision of our world dominance. The liberals promote their vision of socialized medicine and health care. We can't afford either. Say it again, we can't afford either.

None of the major candidates face the reality that the real budget authority rests with Congress and that it's at loggerheads. The Democrats are testosterone deficient and the Republicans have been proven to be hypocrites. Reality is corporate lobbyists have more influence then the general public. You say no, it can't be, look to the parties paid for by the lobbyists at both convention and think. Politicians in general are loath to tell the American voters the truth of the sh$t we're in. The sheeple don't want to hear it. Many on this forum don't want it spoken.

We need to face the reality that we have overspent our means. We need to redirect our attention to what is required, what is possible and what will work. Not what is pie in the sky and what would be nice. The past 12 years of Republican dominated financial approaches have been a disaster. Changes without proper financing would be more disastrous.

Democrats, you must realize that the Republicans have stolen your ability to create the changes you desire. They have spent you into a hole. Your choices are greatly limited. To do universal health care without the approbate financing would be another mistake. Many would want to reduce DOD expenses and that has proven to be a mistake in the past.
