Lest we forget... Bush and Katrina
Edited on Sun Aug-31-08 04:05 PM by mogster
I read in a Norw. paper that Bush, Cheney and McCain headed down south in hope of good photo opportunities, so here's some contemporary history on the last photo-op:

Clearly now they see it as an opportunity in combination with the upcoming convention. The least we can do is to take a recap into the past and relive Katrina, which killed many many people and displaced even more.

At the time, McCain and Bush was busy sharing a cake somewhere else in the country.

This was their photo opportunity then. Bush didn't show up before long time after the devastation was a fact, much like he stayed away in the aftermath of the September 11 horror. The Katrina was another event which threatened American lives, and the horror of people floating dead in the water and utter devastation of all society structures touched people far beyond the US borders.

1. Help me expose Norm Coleman's affairs
If you really want to stop the right-wing wing-nuts, here is a concrete way: Minnesota Senator Norm Coleman is one of George W's biggest lapdogs. He has also fought gay marriage, claiming it's because he's so interested in preserving the "sanctity of marriage." At the same time, there are many reports about Mr. Family Values' extra marital affairs, his sexual harassment of women in bars, restaurants and elsewhere, his racist comments, and his receipt of illegal "gifts" (campaign contributions in the multiple thousands of dollars at a shot). We are now working on an expose about Norm and his treatment of women. Please, if you want to help stop the madness of the republican right, contact me if you have ANY information about Coleman that might be helpful or relevant. Thank you.

2. Regardless of what happens with Gustav...
...and let's hope it fizzles, the above picture needs to make it into a national ad. It was McCain's birthday. I notice that there wasn't any mention of it in the news this time, certainly no cake.

Whichever way Gustav goes, everyone should see how the Republicans were behaving last time we had a bad situation. They weren't on TV talkin' all concerned.
