The day after tomorrow

There will be sirens, winds will have gusted over one hundred miles an hour, trees uprooted and waves threatening levees. People may die.

Properties will have been destroyed, people will grieve and questions will be asked.

I hope we will not hear the spray paint again as they mark the doors of the dead. I hope that we will avoid the comments like momma Bush who said that the displaced were better off. I hope that Gustav will stall.

I doubt my hopes will be realized. I am hoping for the best, but I truly fear for the worst.

1. I can't imagine being there..

I remember after Katrina walking to the grocery store and crying all the way, wanting to do something but incapable of doing anything. Money is the only thing I could give. I remember reading that one of the organizations being pimped on CNN was a fundy operation run by Wolf Blitzer's friend Pat Robertson or one of the other freaks. A disaster that became more disastrous with each passing day. I hope that Obama's organizational skills will make a big difference in the aftermath. If Blackwater allows them in to help.
