I'm sorry. But I hate when politicians do stuff like that. I would be pissed if Obama did it. As soon as the storm is about to hit you can bet McCain's ass will be far from there.

I don't think you will see the same sentiment at Free Republic. I'll bet they are lauding McCain's bravery by going down to Mississippi to kick Gustav's ass. But really, WTF does McCain hope to accomplish other than a staged photo-op? Even Bush is staying away. Another reason I detest McCain, he's actually making Bush seem sane and not so heinous in comparison these days. How scary is that???

Obama is absolutely right. Him and the Secret Service showing up in the middle of the storm wouldn't help, and likely just get in the way. I hope McCain's lack of judgment and timing shoots him in the foot.
