Would you people quit comparing Sarah Palin to Dan Quayle?

Dan Quayle was first elected to the House of Representatives in 1976, defeating a six-term congressman. In 1978, according to Wikipedia, he was reelected with a very high margin of victory. In 1980, he was elected to the Senate and in 1986, he was reelected in an election that sent other Repukes from his Senate class home.

Dan Quayle's political resume was a HELL of a lot better than Palin's. Besides, admit it: Quayle was FUN!

The only reasons we're even discussing this are Sarah Palin is young, cute and a fundamentalist. Without those three qualifications we'd be looking at a McCain-Huckabee ticket.

although I am not sure why victory margin is so important. Plus, Quayle has a law degree vs. Palin's journalism degree.
