Here's to our CRACK "journalists" who can think of *real good* questions (not)!1
So Georgie Steph. was interviewing Cindy. This would be the same George who dismissed as ridiculous back when Hillary CLINTON announced for senator.

Now, I don't dislike STEPANOPOULIS at all, certainly not the way I THOROUGHLY DETEST Tweety and others. When he sits in for Charlie GIBSON, he is a paragon of objectivity by contrast.

So, he asked her about the seven houses and all. And he let her go on and on about how her parents "lived the American Dream" and "provided" for their family (her, the Only Child), and how she was not, consequently ashamed of her parents' great deeds.

Now, here's where I would offer George the wee-est bit of a suggestion: How about asking, at THIS point, "So why were John and Teresa KERRY hounded mercilessly about HER fortune, about HIS marrying her, and their houses?!1 What's DIFFERENT?!"

Just askin', Georgie.

6. Maybe
Tweety knows the MSNBC wind is blowing in the direction of Olbermann/Maddow, so he could be making a very small adjustment leftward to accomodate the new power structure. Again, maybe - but I'll wager Tweety will be in full-on wingnut fellating mode as the Republican National Convention kicks off.

8. Wasn't his contract up in June? He was saying things like, "I'll be a free man in June"
I wonder what deal and how long he got.

9. Don't know, don't care
If Tweety disappeared from punditry forever, I doubt anyone would mourn his 'passing'.

10. You'd be surprised. When he was ill a couple of weeks ago, there was a HUGH!1
appreciation thread for him here. Plus, he has always had his fans here. For years, some of them continue to pop up to say: 1) "He was always against the war!1" Uh, no, certainly not in the run-up when he was CONSUMED with wingnut jingoism and publically executed DONAHUE. 2) "He's against the war because he has DRAFT AGE SONS!" Uh, there IS no draft.

Actually, his admirers date back to before 1988 when his book Hardball was published, the last time he was identifiably one of us. His DEAD reputation as a Dem is a cache of (our) goodwill that lingers hard among those Dems who have NOT watched him on cable since the FAKE impeachment. They are oblivious to his having become a RAYGUN robot, out of the admiration of a FLUNKY for those who achieve SUCCESS in the hothouse of D.C. He sees his Dem bosses, CARTER and O'NEILL, as FAILURES, and he worships SUCCESS.

So, no, there are plenty of fans here who would mourn his "passing" (from MSRNC), and certainly his terresrial passing!1

2. He didn't ask her about how her father worked for the mob?
He was convicted for bootlegging. Nice to see the media allow her to whitewash her family's history.

The New Republic has done some REAL journalism on the Hensleys and the McCains titled "MADE MAN: How Cindy Hensley invented John McCain." I highly recommend this article to anyone who prefers the truth to the fairytale Cindy McCain tells and the MSM swallows.

So much to pick from!1 Like, Mc5PLANES had a lobbyist job for the U.S. Navy? Lots of swabbies could use a job like that, but NOooooo!1

And no wonder Pa HENSLEY "took" to Mc5PLANES!1 He, too, had disposed of a wife without telling her until shortly before the next wedding!1

The New Republic

Made Man by Noam Scheiber
How Cindy Hensley invented John McCain.

Post Date Wednesday, August 20, 2008
.... A celebrated aviator and POW, McCain was then the Navy's chief lobbyist to the U.S. Senate. .... But, over the course of the day, it gradually dawned on Cohen that the bride's family was the main attraction. ....

As Cindy McCain faithfully shadows her husband in his quest for the presidency, it's hard to imagine that she was once the senior member of their partnership. ... the brittle blond cipher at his side. Cindy brings to mind the political wives of yore--a perpetually demure and deferential presence. All the more so in an age of Elizabeth Edwards and Michelle Obama. ....

In 1943, a bomber pilot named Jim Hensley was looking for his own fresh start. Hensley had been shot down near the North Sea in his B-17 and was convalescing in West Virginia. ....

...they would soon marry, though Hensley wouldn't inform Mary Jeanne until shortly before the wedding. ....

...Marley would expand the family holdings into real estate and bottling. .... But the government heavily regulated the price and quantity of liquor Marley could sell, prompting him to embrace the black market. This put Jim, who managed United Distributors, and Gene, who held the same position at United Sales, in regular contact with unsavory characters. ....

...The jury found Jim guilty of seven counts of making false entries, and Gene of 23 counts. It also convicted both men of the conspiracy charge. The court sentenced Gene to one year in federal prison and Jim to six months and fined both men $2,000. (An appeals court eventually suspended Jim's sentence and sent Gene to a prison camp but affirmed the convictions.) ....

4. Glad to be of service. BTW be sure to check out the video on the last page
of McCain's first campaign ad from way back in 1982. His experience as a POW is a central theme.

7. Why would you asked Cindy that?
What the fuck does she know about it? In fact, he did exactly what you want by asking her.
