6. I understand Sheriff Fletcher's fears

If I were responsible for a squad of police officers I would want to make certain that none of them were injured. But as I've followed this story all day it appears to me that he seriously overestimated the perceived threat to his officers. He went too far. And he will pay a huge political price for his miscalculation.
