Remember the Alamo and Remember George W Bush !

Just as early Texans were urged to "Remember the Alamo", Democrats must now be urged to "Remember George W Bush". We cannot forget the damage that has been done to our nation by this President and his Republican Party. We cannot forget the "Shock and Awe" and the invasion of Iraq and the lies that led up to that invasion. We cannot forget the rendition and torturing of prisoners in our control that was done in our name as Americans.

We cannot forget the utter disregard for our Constitution and the spying on American citizens. We cannot forget the economy he inherited and the debt that he is now leaving all of us, including our grandchildren. We cannot forget those that have died under these arrogant fascists. We cannot forget our good name that he sullied around the world. It is nothing less than evil.

But John McCain and the Republicans would like for us to forget. They would like to make it a beauty contest between the Democrats and Republicans. They would like us to forget that John McCain has supported these policies about 95% of the time. That's a 5% chance of sunshine, folks.

Now we are supposed to forget all that has happened and concentrate on Sarah Palin and the "new" Republican Party of "change". We are supposed to think about the little Downs Syndrome baby and abortion and all those family value things that only good Republicans support. Now we are supposed to forget that experience in our leaders even matters in this dangerous world. Forget everything that has happened to our country and to us personally in the last eight years. It's a whole new ballgame - or so they want us to think.

But we know that the zebra has not changed its stripes. It's the same Party with the same policies. More tax breaks for the wealthy. More debt for us all. More war and destruction. More decline in the standard of living for most Americans. More disregard for our Constitution and the rule of law.

But we will not forget. We will remember what George W Bush, John McCain, and the Republican Party have done to our country in the last eight years. We will not be diverted by beauty queens and emotional issues. We will remember George W Bush...
