This is an historic election
A man of color as the presidential candidate on one side, and a woman as a VP on the other.

As a nation we have come a long way (and yet still have a long way to go IMHO).

No matter who wins we won't have two white guys in office, we will have something representing a little bit more of our population.

Someday it may be two women against each other for the presidency, or two people of color.

I hope someday my daughter can say "I really can be president" and I think now she can because this election will be a first no matter what in our country's history. Hillary made major inroads, Obama will win, and those freaks on the other side of the aisle are actually running someone as vp who is not a good old boy (just catching up to us dems one might add.....took em long enough eh?).

This November will be one of change - but before we even get there we have seen a change.

Now we just need to keep progressing and not regressing as the right wants us to do.

We already have change. Now lets have a lot more of it.

5. Factually, other females have run for Prez. and for VP before her.
And they had the qualifications to run, if not win. This a historic batch of bullshit and nothing more.

Smart women wanted Clinton because she represented a qualified candidate. Palin is just a joke. A bad joke.

7. Point is - no matter who wins, history will be made
and that is kind of hard to deny.

4. More like history repeating itself!
America's already had eight long years of one ethically challenged moron in the White House, and now the reThuglicans want to risk that possibility again by placing a clueless bimbo a heartbeat away from the presidency? Good God! That entire party is in dire need of longterm, in depth psychotherapy.

3. I know a lot of people say it doesn't count, but the Greens are running two women, one
African American and one Latina (I think...)

8. I am 65 this year and have waited all that time to see the day
that I have heard about since I was a child...."maybe someday but we aren't ready yet for a (black, woman, gay, you fill in the blank) to be president". My God, I have lived until that day! Not only lived to see it but have to privilige to work my ass off for it to happen. And it will because I saw it happen once before when a Catholic was not supposed to win.
