New Orleans update: just talked to a good friend who flew into NO on Wed. for a few

days (on a job). She was due to fly out tomorrow, but people are already jamming it out of there...someone told her that even though she had a flight booked for tomorrow morning (7am), there was still a chance it would be canceled-delayed-rerouted, so she is instead driving her rental car out, as of an hour ago -

She and I adore that dear town, and she said she could see people's eyes glazing over as they considered what to do and when to do it...I figure PTSD is kicking in, and there's this quiet freakout going on in survivors' hearts and minds...so terrible and sad...

I know DU loves New Orleans, and that we're all dreading what the near future may hold - just thought I'd pop in with a little "on the ground" report.

2. The track is a hundred or so miles to the west

and if it sticks to that track, NO will be spared the worst of it.

The problem is that it's going to hit somewhere and people will be hurt.
