Proposition to replace FEMA
It has long been past time to replace FEMA. Some other entity needs to be set up to take its place.

The problem will be how to set up another group that won't just turn into another bureacratic clusterf***.

I propose that the "Lunch Ladies" be put in charge. When I was in school, there were a group of women who

served the food. They dressed in white and wore those sturdy shoes and hair nets.

I would put them in charge because:
1-They wouldn't take shit from anybody.
2-They would be organized and have plans.
3-They would make sure everything was in place to go ahead of time and not just assume it was.
4-If something was wrong, they'd find out why and fix it.
5-They would know how to improvise in any situation.
6-They wouldn't waste money.
7-They would work as long and as hard as necessary.
8-If Michael Certoff or somebody messed with them, they would smack him with a ladle.
9-They wouldn't do a "heckuva job." Their standards aren't that low.

2. It can be ran just fine. The Republicans run them terrible and then ask to privatize them.

Good management is the key.

4. Huh?
FEMA ran wonderfully and smoothly under Clinton. Why would we need to replace it? FEMA will be fine if it's allowed to function as it was designed and if it is run by people that don't have an ideological agenda.

5. I know. James Lee Witt did a good job.
However, it would be nice to have a solid group in

place the next time someone was appointed. Even if they

don't have any sense, the group might still function okay.

6. FEMA doesn't need to be replaced
just take it out of DHS. It worked fine until Bushco decided to gut it and fill it with horse trainers.
