1. I think it all goes for the GE
meaning, if it was donated as a primary donation, it could be used for either, but if it was donated for the general, then it had to be held until after the primary. I would think the primary ends tonight, but they could use the funds for the general, if you're able to mark what they're for. When I donated to his campaign, I don't recall choosing what it was for, but that was probably because it was going to be used for the general and they knew it, b/c the race was really over at that point.

2. I believe since Obama is not taking Federal funds, it's all just one
big pot of McMansion-crushing money.

McCain, on the other hand, can only spend what he's raised so far through the RNC convention and then has to switch to the limited Federal funds.

3. I think there are still limits on how much you can donate for the primary and how much for the gen.
Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you can contribute $2,000 for each race. I'm not sure how much the contribution level is, I send what I can, but it sure as heck isn't close to the max!
