BRAWLING ANCHORS ON MSNBC

ANIMOSITY among MSNBC anchors has reached a mile-high peak at the Democratic National Convention in Denver, with on-air squabbling between such big egos as Joe Scarborough, Keith Olbermann, Chris Matthews and David Shuster. ....

Yesterday, after Shuster referred to "your party, the Republican Party," Scarborough went off, sparking a seven-minute exchange.

"I will let you know that 'my party,' my party loathes me much more than your party, the Democratic Party, loathes me," Scarborough seethed. "What about your party? What's your party, David Shuster? David, what's your party?" ....

At a forum on Sunday, when Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell called MSNBC "the official network of the Obama campaign," Brokaw said, "I think Keith has gone too far. I think Chris has gone too far."

Insiders say Olbermann is pushing to have Brokaw banned from the network and is also refusing to have centrist Time magazine columnist Mike Murphy on his show. ....

********UNQUOTE*******

What I heard/posted yesterday about Tweety snapping at Keith:

I had turned away for a sec, then heard Tweety going into high decibels, and just caught the end of it, like, "It was what I THOUGHT, and I SAID it, O.K., Keith?!1 And the camera showed Keith smiling.

Just before that Tweety had been rambling on with the days' long crap about "women OF MY AGE are CLINTON supporters...they're MY age," ---uh, so they're HIS age?!1 Wow. Then Keith said, "That was an idea brought up by Rachel MADDOW and (the IWF woman) earlier..." Tweety said, "Well, it's a good idea and needs to be spread..." And Keith said, "I didn't mean we STOLE it or anything..."

But by this time, Tweety's sugar level was rising, since a half hour before he had been SLAPPED DOWN by Lisa CAPUTO, CLINTON's press secretary. Tweety had flung the TIRED old question about whether the CLINTONs were planning their rise from OBAMA's supposed ashes, and CAPUTO laughed and said, "What a question!1 Why would you ASK such a question?!1" And Tweety started to move on, but then stopped and said, "WHY ARE YOU LAUGHING?!1" It was with his deadly, snake-look, like when he performed the execution of DONAHUE on MSRNC.

BWAHAhahaHAH!1

19. It probably isn't the smartest thing to have Morning Joe broadcasting from a restaurant
Based on Tuesday's cat fight between Joe and Dan I figure that the crew is taking in some serious liquid breakfasts.

I'm sure there is feuding at MSNBC, but it's also worth noting that the NY Post is owned by Murdoch. Murdoch has a big feud going on with NBC. He's been using the NY Post to go after Olbermann for months.

I liked this line: "...centrist Time magazine columnist Mike Murphy..."

Do they mean http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mike_Murphy_(political_consultant)">this Mike Murphy?

Michael Ellis "Mike" Murphy (born 1962) is a Republican political consultant. He has advised such nationally prominent Republicans as John McCain, Jeb Bush, John Engler, Tommy Thompson, Christie Whitman, Lamar Alexander, and Arnold Schwarzenegger. He was, until January 2006, an adviser to Mitt Romney, the Governor of Massachusetts and an about-to-become candidate for the Republican presidential nomination for the 2008 presidential election. He stepped down as a result of his role as chief strategist to Governor Romney as well as Senator McCain, who were both widely expected to be Republican challengers in the primaries of the 2008 Presidential election. Murphy said he had decided to be neutral in a contest between two close clients, although he would advise each informally.

16. I know he has a speech impediment, but my wife asked last night if he was drunk...
...he IMMEDIATELY went to the right-wing talking point about Hillary not saying 'commander in chief' and 'Barack Obama' in the same sentence...and I turned the channel...

There right-wing ratfuck sonsofbitches can't even let us enjoy the afterglow of what was a truly brilliant speech by Hiallry before they start with their partisan bullshit..

26. I think it's his cold medication. He coughed a couple of times yesterday
and it sounded deep. He was recovering from pneumonia and probably the schedule has been rough on him. I'm not apologizing for Tweety, but I think this time he has some legitimate reason for not being on top of his game.

11. It seems that Olbermann doesn't have the power to get Brokaw banned
The NY Post has been going after MSNBC for quite a while. Olbermann frequently corrects the false stories that appear in the Page Six column.

12. the Brokaw thing in the Post is the typical right wing Page Six trash
The MSNBC "fighting" is pretty entertaining, but you can generally get a sense for the people who "like each other". For instance, there seems to be a consensus that Scarborough is a douchebag.

was a REPUBLICAN CONGRESSMAN, and actively campaigns for Republican politicians! He's obviously a Republican Party guy and for him to act offended is just ridiculous. If Schuster were a former politician I'd say he should be identified with a party as well. He isn't. Scarborough is a damned fool, and he acts like a spoiled 3rd grader.

18. I've never SEEN such media bias as this convention.
It might as well be the RNC. The "pundits" evidently believe there job is to a) talk over all the speakers; b) create controversy where none exists; and c) cast aspersions at everyone they do deign to listen to.

It's disgusting, revolting, and makes me realize just how far gone the media really is.

23. I have watched the convention on Cspan because when I turned to
MSNBC Chris was going on and on about the divided party and KO had a look on his face that said, "God, I wish I were anywhere but here." Switched before listening to any more. Then tried out PBS and the three commentators there were going on and on - switched back to Cspan where I could watch all the speakers and use my own mind to decide what I thought. They treat us as if we need them to tell us what to think. Maybe the pugs do but we in the Democratic Party are truly independent thinkers. I love KO and Rachel but I want nothing to do with the others.

29. We were witness to much of that. I believe that the disagreements that are
under current among the "stars" of MSNBC became more visible and on the surface at the Convention because there is not as much production control there as there would be in the studio. I couldn't believe that Meeka lady or whatever her name is who is on Joe Scars show. She could barely conceal her contempt for him in the facial expressions and body language. It was truly hilarious to watch.

32. He also snapped at someone off camera
about "wrapping" it up (meaning his long-winded, meaningless crapola about "women my age"). A few seconds later, he was snapping at Keith.

Colds + diabetes = not a fun combination. I'm sure his glucose levels are all out of whack & is partially the reason he was being such an asshat last night.
