Poll question: Convention Coverage - Rate the Networks!
OK, not everyone can watch every channel, so let's help people figure out the best ones to support (read: easiest to stomach). Select the network you think did the best job of portraying the Dems in a positive light.

2. C-Span has the best, most objective coverage
No pundits, no spin, just the convention.

9. I don't need someone to tell me what I just heard
especially that old Nazi Buchanan or Hannity or Couric for that matter.

5. Voted for MSNBC
I watched C-SPAN for the prime time speeches ... it is good not to get the commercials and interruptions.

However, just before and after, I do think you get a better, more insightful line of analysis from the folks at MSNBC. Last night, for instance, Matthews smack down of Buchanan on the religious question was certainly worth seeing.

8. Personal Observations
So I watched MSNBC most of the night, with a little bit of FoxNews during the commercials to see how "the other side" was spinning it. I'll start with FN - I'll keep it brief - then I'll talk about MSNBC.

FabricatedOpinions (er, FoxNews):
For the brief time I could stomach it, some of the commentators were fairly reasonable, albeit a little critical. The general consensus was that the Dems didn't do TOO bad, but didn't really accomplish anything. They called it a "wasted night". Then Turd Blossom came on and I had to change back.

MSNBC:
Perhaps it was just Keith's commanding presence, but it really did seem to me that nearly everyone (with the obvious exception of Pat) was positively gushing at both Ted Kennedy and Michele Obama. Even Chris Matthews was trashing the PUMAs - and noting they were a very small group of likely Republican plants - while saying a lot of very good things about the Dems. And of course, the best of the night when Rachael slammed Pat and his 1992 speech. Joe S. was, thankfully, left out of the show once things got started, so I didn't see much of him at all. On the whole, I was proud to have a channel I could watch without wanting to put a baseball bat through the tv.

10. Need to put up Free Speech TV, on Dish Network
Channel 9415. Covering those inside and outside the convention.

Best coverage of all channels. It is what PBS should be.
