...No talking heads, no pundits, no interviews, no gotcha, no spin, just pure unadulterated coverage.

Refreshing!

1. Also PBS and PBS-HD are outstanding if you want some reasoned analysis between segments

2. No thanks, I want Keith, Rachel, and YES Chris Matthews
His religion smackdown on Pat Buchanan was the highlight of my night.

4. Keith and Rachel are among my favorites, but...
...it's impossible to actually watch the convention on MSNBC. C-Span covers what is actually going on inside.

The decision is...does one want to watch people talk about what is happening, or does one want to actually watch what is happening? :7

11. A little bit of both for me
I like some commentary, and I like to just watch the events. I can flip back and forth.

18. You're missing half the speakers
including some very good ones. Corporate news is a wasteland.

6. Plus, you can hear all the "minor" speakers
The networks, even PBS, blather over some speakers they've decided aren't worth hearing.

13. it depends on why you watch the coverage...
i have a dvr which can record two different channels at the same time. so i watch cspan and record another, like cnn or nbc...

i watch cspan as a fan of the convention. a believer. someone posted a thread that this was our olympics. i like that analogy.

i watch the recording of the other at a later time to see what lies they are connecting to the convention. most people don't see cspan. i want and need to know of these lies. yes, we don't trust the msm. but for most that's their only option.

its a hard choice if you have only one choice. i would suggest anyone watching cspan to flip the channel to msm on occasion to truly get the convention coverage that most americans are getting. to give you an idea about why others saw something completely different than you did on each day.

i know, it sucks. not fun, but just a thought...

15. I watch because I like current events and news...
...not because I enjoy peering through someone else's lens. I prefer not to have talking heads telling me how to interpret the self-evident.
