Dinosaurs helped build the pyramids, school director says
Far from becoming extinct 65 million years ago, the dinosaurs actually co-existed with early humans, and even helped in the construction of the pyramids.
This is the word of Vince Fenech, Evangelist pastor and director of a fully licensed, State-approved Creationist institution which admits children aged between four and 18.
“Of course the ‘dinoceros’ existed (as Fenech pronounces the word). It is mentioned in the Book of Job. They were used to help build the pyramids,” he says, adding that this latter observation is only “his personal belief”, and that it does not form part of the school’s curriculum.
But the curriculum of the Accelerated Christian Academy in Mosta is not exactly free of such fanciful reinventions of history. Fenech reiterates the basic Evangelist tenet that the entire universe was created in 4004 BC… and this time, he also supplies “proof”.
“When man landed on the moon (in 1969), they expected the landing module to sink in a deep layer of dust. But the layer was only a few inches deep. This proves that the universe is still young!”

There are loons around the world. I'm not sure that is comforting.

23. Dinosaurs can free us from foreign oil!!
Ride a dino to work.

Use dinos instead of steam shovels and other heavy-construction equipment.

Use dinos with double-placard signs to advertise stuff.

Use dinos to carry mail and packages instead of UPS trucks.

Dino-poop burns readily when dried & can be used to heat homes and power generators.

Soldiers could ride dinos instead of tanks & armored vehicles--The enemy will run away, screaming.

Dino fart-gas used as a source of methane.

Dino-ribs used as supports to build housing upon.

And finally...

REAL Dinos used in movies instead of expensive animation FX.

61. What are dinosaurs?
Dinosaurs are large, reptilian land animals that lived in great abundance over 4000 years ago ("There were giants in the earth in those days" Gen 6:4), and were mostly wiped out during the Flood. Contrary to the depictions of them from Hollywood, dinosaurs were herbivorous ("he eateth grass as an ox." Job 40:15) and lived concurrently and in peace with man. They did not live 65 million years ago, as evolutionists claim...

We know that dinosaurs were alive at the time since they were fossilized during the Flood, many in active poses suggesting fear of their impending doom and horrific realization, however faint and dinosaurish, of their God-displeasing wickedness.

88. I dunno, some DUers might agree with the woo-woo
found in that article:

"Although exceedingly rare, living dinosaur and related species can still be found world wide. Some famous examples are the Loch Ness Monster, a Scottish plesiosaur (or leviathan); Mokele-Mbembe, an African sauropod; and the Chupacabra, a South American velociraptor. This obviously proves that man and dinosaur have existed -- and continue to exist -- contemporaneously."

See how easy it is to ridicule these fools? Anyone can claim they're hearing God. Like a well-placed Rovian lie designed to cast doubt on the actual facts, a non-fundie can cast doubts in the mind of the fundies by simply mocking the authority which delivers the bullshit. It's quite fun, and I wish someone would do it in front of a larger audience.

68. You get sick when you think about the damage they do all those young minds...
...they are fresh, wanting to learn, sucking up everything they hear to make sense of things and the first stories they get are total bs.

Did your teacher ever tell you how hard it is to "un"learn something you learned first?? That's what's scary.

77. Typical idiots believing in their little conspiracy theories
They had their little "proofs" like moon dust that sucker in the ignorant. The government and the scientific community are all in on it.

In their minds they have "debunked" evolution.

Like any conspiracy group, you can't reason with them but they are good for a laugh.

80. No one has yet asked a creationist to show scientific proof for any
of their assertions, so they can say just about anything.

82. They all claim to have lots of "scientific proof"
Of course, none of it has ever been published in a peer reviewed journal. If you ask them about that, they claim that's because there is a government/scientific community "conspiracy" to suppress the proof of Young Earth data.

Like any conspiracy theorist, they have lots of "proof", all of it easily debunked, however the never believe in the debunking.

83. The loons are attacking in Texas and it matters in the whole US.
Why would The New York Times editorial board weigh in on the Texas Board of Education?
Two good reasons.
First, what Texas requires of textbook publishers has nationwide ramifications. It is the nation’s second largest bulk purchaser behind California.
Second, what’s happening on the board is what’s happening in several other states — the quest to ease non-science into science class.
It is portrayed as science but is driven by religion.

Creationists make stealth bid to takeover Texas education board

Sane members of the Texas State Board of Education hold a slim majority over scripture-at-any-cost-in-science-books creationists.
Creationists are hammering away to defeat at least two incumbent board members to tip the balance, in classic stealth campaigns where they hide their intentions and spend oodles of money hoping to do evil by catching most voters asleep. The creationists are campaigning to beat conservative, religious Baptists, because the Baptists are “too liberal” on evolution.

Do you know what is in the textbooks used in your schools? Do you know about the Board of Education members? Best have a look!:yoiks:

90. I'm usually pretty tolerant of religion, but I don't get this...
I don't mind if they discuss (not teach) various religions in certain classes, but I don't see how it fits into a science class... I don't think I ever had any science class that discusses creationism. Is this something that happens in other parts of the country? I went to school in California and Oregon, so I'm sure that helped spare me some of this nonsense.

85. Some body has been watching too much of "The Flintstones"
Yeah, Fred, Wilma, Barney and Betty were right there along side of them. Every day you could watch Fred slide of the back of his Brontosaurus as quitting time. They also had little wooley mammoths they used as garbage disposals and for breakfast every morning, they had pterodactyl eggs with their toast.
