Been watching him all afternoon while doing laundry.

He's circling back home.

2. I think overall
We've seen MSNBC go a little lefter this election season. It seems that they weren't always like this a year ago. Even Puke-anan has gotten a little softer on his opinions, and now with them adding Maddow to primetime it looks like MSNBC may have seen the light.

3. Did you watch yesterday
Tweety had his usual man crush on Biden -Catholic, Irish and from Scranton Pennsylvania. Tweety is in love again. :D. He was in ecstasy. An informed DUer says Tweety is a Dem.

is Catholic -- kind of a Kennedy-influenced Dem.

22. Ahhh. I'd forgotten he'd worked for Carter and Tip O'Neil, and never knew
he voted for Bush in 2000. How did that happen, I wonder, with such a Dem-infested background?

25. You'd never know he voted Kerry by the way he conducted
his programs then. Sheesh! I had to turn Hardball off permanently, it was so bad in September-October 2004. And I really haven't come back.

41. I remember him admitting as much 4 years ago. But Tweety only has one real committment:
To the camera.

I was at the NYC RNC convention and when he's off camera, he has no reaction to anyone or anything around him. He only responds to the camera. Period.

He knows he will never win the senate seat he wants in Pennsylvania if he continues standing with the corporations over the working class.

and in the back pocket of Bush. He was in love with the 2000 John McCain. He is smart enough to see that guy doesn't exist anymore.

and go goo goo over the masculinity surging on the dais.

This is just a brief respite before he lapses again. He knows the audience is pretty much Dem at this point - others watching Olympics, Reps buying more houses. Watch on Friday when McCain announces VP and see him gush.

21. Don't count your chickens
The problem is that it's not about whether the individual reporters personally like our candidates. It's how hard their corporate bosses press on them that they'd better support the right wing candidate. Matthews or any of them will respond when it's their own career on the line. And the news department is small beans compared to GE, so things could get shoved over at any time.

What are all of these right-wing talking heads going to do when the majority of the government swings Dem? They're going to be caught with their pants down unless they start jumping ship now. "Oh yeah...all those years we railed against the Dems? We didn't mean it. We LOVE Dems! We ARE Dems!"

33. Call It "the Keith Factor"
I've noticed a slow change with Tweety over the past year. At first he was jealous of Olbermann and his surge in ratings...then it appears he either got a "talking to" or saw himself that the network and his ratings did better if he, too, started to cater to a Democratic/liberal audience.

Also, remember that NBC has been taking a lot of flack from Gramps and the right wing...a lot of it directed at Tweety...and add to that baggage the contempt Tweety must still feel for being used in the Plame case. It sure looks like his mancrush for Gramps has seen better days.
