GOPs worst nightmare::: Unintended Consequences....Kill Joe in the primaries
Obama just fucked the GOP with his Joe Biden Choice....I suspect he was initially one of the most feared of all the candidates...of

course its in the best interest of the GOP to try and kill off the the best by supporting the second tier...this they did by

crossover voting in IOWA.....not realizing that Obama was and is the best in terms of Freshness and Change...he is actually first

tier....and now, one year later, finds that(much to their suprise)... Bidens Back...teamed up with Fresh Promise Obama to morph into

a COMBO of winning with higher odds....the GOOPers are going....WTF did we do?....and of course since they went with

McMilitary...they have stymied themselves with McSame....

This is delicious.....The Truth, Reason, and Sanity Famine seems about OVER.....Reality has returned

Obama and Joe gonna rock this Nation.....

1. Goobers went with McAncient because . . .
He was the strongest of their candidates. How's *that* for payback?

2. I guess he had his fellow GOOPers scammed into backing his candidacy
Only now, or to be kind, recently, do they too find McSame is McWEAK...He had Flipped too much, has memory probs, Anger Probs, etc etc...and the SMUG Factor seen in those vid clips on YOU TUBE where he brushes off a reporter with bruising display of bad body language and downright hostility....

From the percieved Strongest to that of the Weakest

Truth has a funny way of showing up at the wrong time

And now;;; ole Joe comes back to haunt

Teamed up w Obama...the dynamic duo is poised to kick ass....

Vote Blue...the GOP is passe

4. Don't get that excited.
GOP knew they were going to lose big this year, if there is a god, that is. And we know how devout they are.

Thus no Republican worth spit even attempted to run. The dregs saw their chance and went for it.

31. There was one one Republican partially worthy of any consideration
And Sheldon Whitehouse beat him. . .then he ditched the Republicans and became an independent, as did Jim Jeffords!

Other that Lincoln Chafee (and maybe Olympia Snowe), that's it. The rest can kiss my ex-patriot ass!

Although, actually, you probably can since you know the names of the attorneys, all Republicans, that Bush fired for doing their jobs.

Any one of them knows his best chance for the future is to let this bunch lose, and then come back in a few years with the credential of having been an honest Republican. Think about it. Run a Republican Bush fired for honesty against a dicey Democrat with a current scandal. Tell me you wouldn't think of voting for a Republican like that to rid yourself of a bad Dem.

If they position themselves carefully...it'll work like a charm.

All we have to do is let power go to our heads like they did.

Basically, we have two years once Obama is in. Two years to muck out the country. We better be ready to work ten seconds after the swearing in.

29. Their field of candidates was incredibly weak
Mittens was and is an opportunist that would make even Norm Coleman blush, Ghouliani was, as Joe B. so memorably put it, "a noun, a verb and 9/11" and the rest were even worse. Grampy won by default - as bad as he is, the others made him look good in comparison. The Repukes had the most godawful slate of candidates I can ever remember being put forth by either party. Is there one person Grampy McShits can nominate as VP who can last ten minutes with Joe without being pounded into compost? I think not.

A year ago, presumptive nominee Ghouliani was beating presumptive nominee HRC in the "national polls" and we see how that turned out. There are 'pukes and there are Dems. There is a bloc in the middle with no strong partisan ties one way or the other. This is going to be like 1980 in reverse. Obama has the money, and the messengers (himself on the high road and Joe hammering away as the attacker at his side) to get the kind of last month break among these voters that Reagan got in '80. The fear card has been played out for all but the paranoid freeper/fundymental wing of the party and the xenophobes. People in the middle are concerned about their jobs, their mortgages, their falling wages, skyrocketing health care and energy prices and are exhausted with Bush and the Repuke brand that has brought all of these crises to their front doors.

37. It certainly seems that way to me . . . does it seem that way to the electorate?
And with the media really only interested in an exciting contest (with zero concern over the outcome, as long as they can count on 4 more years of drama), will the electorate even be responding to real issues, or to media fantasies?

6. The Republican field was *spectacularly* weak this time around.
...as you can tell from the fact that the deeply flawed mccain was the last man standing.

But remember Tommy "Gotta Go Right Now" Thompson? And what about that other Thompson, what was his name again, Fred or something? And Mr. 9/11? What a crop of losers!

Hopefully we will get lifelong hunter and dogstrapper Mitt Romney back to kick around some more if Gramps is dumb enough to pick him for VP.

Mitt ain't sh!t as far as someone who stands a chance in a stand up debate against Joe. Mitt is sh!t as the flies fly though.

McSplain is going to have big trouble selling Joe Lieberman to the crew. Lieberman will tell them there ain't no such thing as JC and the war will be on with the bible thumpers in the GOP.

Goober Huck-a-billy is McSame's best shot at saving the Bible belt vote for the Reich Wingers.

Rudy has had more wives and houses that the GOPer at the top of the ticket.

The best the GOP has to offer is Mis-Leaders("liars and crooks")...John Kerry was right!

To follow a Misleader like McClaim is to take another high dive into another low bucket of deep Doo-Doo!

A guy who crashed 5 planes is the best pilot that the GOP has to offer after the AWOL has crashed the economy and crashed our standing as the champion of human rights around the world.

I think the Ammo can is full of Buffalo Chippies...and I think the GOPers have about shot their last wad!

Edited on Sun Aug-24-08 10:06 AM by Hubert Flottz
than McCain has and they didn't expect, or ask, or demand to be crowned king.

Look at all America has given McCain and his two families in return for his military service. Yet he expects and asks for more. Is a man like that as ready to "Lead" as a man like JFK was?

Rumsfeld said us draftee's military servive didn't amount to much...

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=printer_friendly&forum=364&topic_id=2529851

...if that is so, why are the things that happened to McCain anymore heroic than anyone else's service over the past 250 years? McCain supported Rummy all the way, BTW!

and won the Iron Cross for bravery under enemy fire. Grampy won his medals for being enough of a fuckup to lose five planes and get shot down while strafing civilians.

Wanna see a real military leader? I direct your attention to General Wesley Clark. Nuff said.

Today, Rove and his turd assistants are crapping in their Guccis.

Senator Joe Biden has been a good Democratic Senator for 35 years.

He pretty well summed up McBush:

"...(I)n all my years in the Senate I have never in my life seen Washington so broken. I've never seen so many dreams denied and so many decisions deferred, by politicians who are trying to escape the responsibility and accountability. But ladies and gentlemen, the reckoning is now."

He let them off pretty easy, all things considered.

I bet Biden can't wait to take the gloves off.

Thank you, opi-san. You laid down the wood.

33. If The Corporate Media Squeals, Then It Must Be Good
Hey there Opi...

Nominating Biden is Gramps worst nightmare...and the GOOP knows it. I hope we look back on the past week and see this is where the election finally turned for the better.

Besides the house mess...that shows Gramps to be out of touch, there's still the $5 million "middle class" line that is getting a lot of buzz under the radar...I have run into a lot of people who add this with his wife's money and this all but destroy's his "straight talk" bullshit. Then there's the overplays with all the sliming ads that are not only getting boring but more desperate as well. Gramps has yet to run any ads of substance and the Rovian games are starting to come home to roost...negative ads only work when you can make it a concerted attack that sticks. Just throwing shit against the wall and hoping something will stick is backfiring...making Gramps look mean and petty.

Nominating Biden all but boxes Gramps in on virtually any "argument" he makes and puts tremendous pressure on him to match this move...and with whom? The guy with magic underware whose a bigger asshole than he is? The failed CEO who is pro-choice? TraitorJoementum who is the "wrong religion"? The 9/11 dude who dresses in drag and used taxpayer money to pay for his lovenest? No matter who he picks, someone in his "base" is gonna get pissed...and the all the papering over by the corporate media can't make this turd smell like a rose.

Kudos to the Obama campaign for playing THEIR game, not the one of the corporate media and the concern trolls. Picking Biden all but takes Pennsylvania out of play, solidifies him in Michigan (the UAW will hump ass for the Democratic ticket now...as will other unions), takes Iowa out of play and will give a nice shot in the arm in Ohio as well.

Yep...get ready to rock and party, "my friend"...our time has arrived...now let's go out and make it happen.

:toast:

:hi:
