1. WTF is a "political supervisor?"
Is this another invention of the Bush administration and wouldn't such a thing be totally illegal?

And, by the way, I thought I was pretty well-versed in the major Bushisms but I don't remember ever reading this snippet of world class gibberish:

“I mean, there needs to be a wholesale effort against racial profiling, which is illiterate children.” President Bush, October 11th 2000, during the second Presidential Debate

2. political supervisors
There seems to be positions in the government for people appointed by the administration in charge to keep tabs on what the career employees are doing. Sometimes they are called 'politcal appointees' instead.

I remember one, this 20 something kid who had campaigned for Bush and Cheney and then they appointed him to superivise scientists at NASA. He got bounced for 2 reasons 1. for padding his resume, and 2. for writing a memo the NY Times got a hold of telling the scientists that any of the reports they write should not rule out creationism as bringing forth the universe.

4. Bush had 'minders' as well, like Saddam did

Remember the 'minders' who had to stay with western reporters in Saddam's Iraq? Some government scientists reported that Bush sent 'minders' when they were scheduled to be interviewed on global warming, least they sound too convincing about the reality of global warming.

7. I don't think it was, there were other comments he made that
seemed to show a very "ambitious" man.

Remember, his family does have a history of supporting Nazi and fascist figures and regimes. The 1933 coup attempt is a prime example.
