What is the highest award that a documentary movie can receive -
and would it be appropriate for Al Gore to announce his intention to run for the White House as he accepts this award for An Inconvenient Truth?

2. Davis Guggenheim and Lawrence Bender or Laurie David will get the
Oscar if An Inconvenient Truth Wins. Having met Al several times, I am quite certain that he is the type of gentleman who would not take the limelight away from the director and producers in their moment.

Now after the show and in light of a victory, that would be a great time with the eyes of the world on him.

Best Docu usually, best film is exceedingly good.

And I don't think it would be appropriate. I'd like to see Gore run but I don't think it's be appropriate to announce it at an Oscar's ceremony.
