..... that the salary will be a significant improvement in their personal finances. Biden more than Obama, but neither man is rich by any stretch. Biden, in particular, is, by standards of net worth, lower middle class.

Pretty amazing compared to Captain Gigolo and his Paris Hilton-like trust funded wife, the good Ms. Cindy Lou Hensley, the half sister denier.

22. What was going through my mind was a scene in Animal House
when Belushi said "Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?" and when one of the guys said "Germans?", another said "he's on a roll" as in don't bother him, he's on a roll. (concerning how your subject line read before it was edited).

6. but the level of classiness is directly the inverse
just posted the same thought. Obama's class compared to the idiot son. (Even McSame has more class than dipshit, but that still isn't saying much)

19. "I see no smooth sailing ahead."
You're right, this is a high-stakes election here.

The way the GOP sees it is this: their ideology is dependent on staying in power. After the near-crashing of the dollar, the loss of jobs, the mortgage disaster, not to mention the negligence after Katrina, the GOP cannot convince any intellectually honest person that their way of governing works.

The GOP are running to continue the cover up of their crimes, to keep the profits flowing from their mercenary industrial complex and to turn America into a theocracy.

Their survival is as tied to fear and deception as McCain is tied to every Republican before him, from Bush to every member of the PNAC and the Federalist Society.

The GOP must stay in power; everyone else is trying to stop them.

The GOP is not going to go away so easily.

change means.

I wonder if Biden is still paying off student loans for his kids?

i wonder if they reported it wrong. hubby said maybe that was his net income for 2007. that would make more sense. i'm sure his house is worth more than that.

28. Not only do I doubt that...
...if he owns his home, but that still has no bearing on the fact that my wife and I are terribly poor and know plenty of others who fall into the same category.

Then there's the caveat that Joe's influential position assures him access to wealth and services most of us will never have. Pressed into it, Joe could get his hands on things we can't.
