What happened with Bill Gwatney's Assassination/Murder in Arkansas???

I've been trying to find any updated information on the case and the shooter of the Democratic Chair of Arkansas.

Isn't it amazing how much media coverage there was when a democratic party person was assassinated?

6. Huckabee is from Arkansas and Gwatney was his most vocal critic.

The police are slow walking this investigation. They found Gwatney's name with someone else's phone number on a paper and said it will take them two weeks to ID the number. Are they for real? You can look up a number on the internet. Did they think to call it? The guy quit his job at Target. He could have been a contract killer---murder for hire. In that case, the number could be whoever was supposed to pay him, which means there is someone out there arranging murders, which puts the public at risk while the police wait two weeks to give the perp time to dump the number.

This is the biggest police cover up I have ever seen. It might not even be political. Or it might be local or state political. A guy like that would have lots of enemies---and they would all be Republicans. So no one wants to solve it for fear of who they might implicate.

I remember seeing something in the LA Times, I thought, about the shooter, but I can't find it, now. They interviewed the workers at Target and he was fired for writing something obscene on a wall in the store somewhere. It was erased before the police arrived, and he had already gone at the time.

Speculation that it was a political assassination,or that he was enraged by talk radio or something remains speculation, so far.

He's dead now. No confession is possible.

Sounds like a good opportunity for an investigative journalist. Perhaps, someone could write to the editors of whatever the local newspaper is there and find out. I've got to go eat dinner now.
