If Biden is our future President's pick for VP, all I have to say is:
:woohoo:

The right-wing corpora-DICtators are going to have a real fight: democracy vs corporafascism!

NOW IS THE TIME to FIGHT FOR FREEDOM from these greedy power mongers.

I'm not a "fighter", so to speak, until NOW!!!

:woohoo:

I've followed Joe,...he is an expert on the "game" and can talk those fuckers in circles (oops, sorry for the language).

I HAVE to offer the following suggestion: ATTACK THE ATTACKERS!!! The "swiftboat" sponsor has published a book. THAT MAN MUST BE REVEALED!!! All right-wing character assassins MUST BE REVEALED!!!

C'MON people!!!! Let's go get the REAL "boogey" men against democracy and our people!!! Those power-mongering butt-brethren deserve to have Christian-like justice on their heels,...and BE REVEALED.

:woohoo:

Why?

Ask Kucinich,...just ASK HIM!!!

Biden is good because he's an experienced player who STILL CARES about people.

ASK DENNIS!!!!

25. Perhaps.
On the other hand, the poster I was directly questioning has not had one good thing to say, that I have seen, since his/her choice of candidate left the race of her own volition. I was honestly hoping for some constructive input from the poster, rather than the usual negativity. But alas, no response.

28. I didn't want a reduction of our slim majority in the Senate.
That bespeaks an optimism I don't feel today.

I was hoping for a governor. Or someone out of the House. HOWEVER, Biden meets some of my criteria for a veep: He's intelligently able to assume office if he has to but pretty much nobody (based on his primary results) actually wants him to have the job.

He isn't a gung ho representative of any particular group. So nobody gains anything by offing Obama and putting Biden in office. Any candidate who doesn't consider this is an idiot.

But Biden means that image of CHANGE YOU CAN BELIEVE IN is permanently off the table. He's old school old Beltway ...unless someone can show me some boat somewhere he's rocked?

Truck load of bitterness and disappointment?

Dump it, without expectations.

At least, each day will be lived in a zone of hope.

5. Joe "My Ass Belongs to MNBA" Biden? Fighting corporate fascism?
:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

OK, seriously, this is the same man whose latest and greatest service he's performed for his masters is the Bankruptcy Reform Act of 2005.

A Biden choice would simply be the financial sector insuring that their interests will be taken care of, no fighting corporate fascism allowed.

8. Maybe, all good works MUST BE hidden by those who seek to destroy "unity",...

,...because, UNIFICATION is most threatening to those who MUST CONTROL rather than embrace diversity and unity.

9. First off, show me how Mr. Biden's "good works" out weigh the harm he has done on other issues
IWR, Bankruptcy Reform, Patriot Act, really now, we can go back years and decades on this one. So please, prove to me that these "good works" out weigh the harm he has done. We have tens of thousands of middle class people facing bankruptcy right now, and they're having to go through the process that Biden helped set into place, a process that more often than not leads to decades of families living under crushing debt loads.

Unification doesn't threaten me. What threatens me is the two party/same corporate master system of government. I had, at one time, a slim hope that Obama might actually be different. However if the VP is Biden, it will only confirm my suspicion that corporate America has indeed gotten its hooks into the Obama camp. It happened with Bush, it happened with Clinton, etc. etc. ad nauseum. Welcome to the two party/same corporate master system of government. No faux Zen musings are going to change that fact.

12. If only life were so simple,...you and I would be having a totally different conversation.
I have people throw SIMPLE answers at me, all the time.

I'm sorry.

I don't mean to say "simple" answers are bad or wrong.

JUDGING PEOPLE as bad or wrong is stupid, senseless, irrational and immoral.

I'm not talking "faux Zen musings"!

"Unification" doesn't threaten you? What a weird thing to say!

I acknowledge your vision of a country far greater than what ours is. I ask you, in all earnest, how Biden (with his CHANGE of heart CLEARLY DEMONSTRATED DURING THE PRIMARIES,...in case you missed it) is more dangerous than another neocon all-powerful executive because that is what you are going to get if another republican is elected as president.

18. You're right, I do have a choice
A choice between two corporately controlled candidates and parties. One party, the Democrats, pay slightly more lip service and attention to the needs and wants of the ordinary person, but overall what gets taken care of in Washington is Corporate America, first and foremost, while you and I are left the crumbs.

As far as an all powerful neo con executive goes, do you honestly think that Obama is going to give back the power that Bush invested in the office of President?

Politicians have changes of heart all the time, most have at least a couple during their tenure in office, some many, many more. I judge a politician on their record, not their promises, and Biden's record isn't one that is of service and care for the common man. Quite the opposite.

But then again, this is probably too simple for one of your vast intellectual range and broad philosophical outlook. But that's OK, when Biden doesn't turn out to be the great fighter of corporate fascism that you yearn for, perhaps you will learn a lesson that is neither simple or irrational, that yes indeed, we're already living under the two party/same corporate master system of government.

27. Do you honestly think....
...the institutions of power and their monopoly over the media would let a Democratic President exercise the power that Bush has usurped? No way, no how! Obama and Biden would be raked over the coals of the right-wing roar and probably end up impeached.
