I Want to Give a Shout Out to (IMHO) a GREAT Olympian!
Last night, in both the USA Men's & Women's 4X100M teams were disqualified when they both dropped their batons on the 3rd leg to 4th leg hand-offs. Both ChicaAzul and I were crestfallen.

In the women's race however, Lyren Williams (spelling?), picked the baton back up and finished the race.

She was disqualified and had no chance to win or advance, but she FINISHED HER RACE!

I have so much respect for her that I can hardly put it into words. I'm as proud of her as I am of the Gold medal winners. It is certainly an example of a "never quit" attitude and a level of determination that the white house and their far right mouthpieces have certainly been averse to seeing in young people (especially ETHNIC young people).

I was raised to believe that it's ok if you don't succeed as long as you DON"T QUIT!

Certainly, young Ms. Williams is an illustration of "YES WE CAN"!

I just wanted to give this young woman a SOLID and express my admiration and respect for her.

PEACE!

5. GREAT Class!
I hope to see her in London in 2012.

If she retires, I wish her great success in what she chooses to do.

3. I AGREE! it's not all about winning-
it's all about doing your very best.

As far as I'm concerned, she's a winner in what really matters.

:hi:

Thanks for calling her out.
